New Rectory Gift Registry

As the construction of St. Thomas More Parish's  grand new rectory was nearing completion, parishioners began to inquire about how they may help furnish and decorate the new building.  This gave the pastor the idea for creating an online gift registry, where individuals could easily view all the things that were needed and make a contribution. The registry was modeled on the Bed, Bath, & Beyond gift registry, and was built in Drupal with several Ubercart eCommerce contributed modules. The registry is hosted on a secure virtual private server (VPS) implementing the secure socket layer (SSL) encryption protocol. An SSL certificate was installed on the server and a Trustwave security audit was conducted, so that parishioners can shop and make credit card purchases with confidence.
