About Our Catholic Website Products
For some Catholic organizations, custom website design and development is the perfect solution. But for others, such custom tailoring is a luxury they simply can not afford. Yet, we don't wish to see such organizations left on the sidelines as the evolving web continues to present more and more opportunities. For this reason, we work hard to create and maintain packaged website products that deliver advanced features at an affordable price.
What Are Products
Our products are hosted, pre-configured Drupal websites that have been built to satisfy the common website use cases for particular types of Catholic organizations. Each product comes with a selection of sophisticated design options, but we offer semi-custom and custom design options as well
Product Customization
As an alternative to a fully custom website solution, Upper Room Media also offers the ability to customize any of our available website products. So, if one of our standard products provides most of what you require, but not quite everything, you have the option to add the functionality and/or design feature(s) you want at a significant savings over a fully custom website solution. All product customization work is billed at our normal hourly rate, which will be added to the initial cost of the selected product. The Software as a Service (SaaS) Model
Upper Room Media's website products utilize the Software as a Service (SaaS) model. By hosting and maintaining a single instance of each product's code (software) we are able to provide a significant value to our client organizations while also achieving an extremely high level of efficiency, consistency, and reliability. This model allows us to develop, test and roll-out the initial software, as well as software updates and upgrades once for many sites, thereby distributing the cost of those activities across numerous accounts.
In addition to managing and maintaining the software code, the SaaS model also provides for regular data and files backups, making your site fully recoverable in the unlikely event of a security breach or systems failure. Each site is afforded unlimited disk storage space for database data and file uploads, as long as such storage capacity is used exclusively for website content.
For our client organizations, this model also eliminates the need for in-house technical expertise, since all of the technical aspects of running a website are managed by us. This, in turn, greatly reduces the demand for training and support services. Training costs are further reduced by the fact that, now, training material can be produced once for all users of each product, since the user interfaces and functionality are consistent for all.
