My Parish Priest Marking the Anniversary of Roe v Wade

I was present in person to hear Fr. John Paul Leyba deliver this homily. His words brought tears to the eyes of most of the people in attendance at Mass that morning, my own included. The truth of his message and the sincerity of his passion filled me with a sense of shame for being a part of a society capable of killing its most innocent and defenseless members, and for not doing more to combat this evil. As he spoke, I was also overwhelmed with sorrow for all the victims, and their families.
